Friday Five: Books Edition

Shamelessly lifted from Tammy at Just Enough, And Nothing More. Because I can't resist a book list.

How many of you have a to-be-read pile a mile high next to your bed? What are the top 5 books?

Just finished Jen Lancaster's Such a Pretty Fat and am almost finished with Beth Harbison's Secrets of a Shoe Addict. Up next in my to-be-read pile:

1. The Film Club by David Gilmour

2. Love The One You're With by Emily Giffin

3. Critical Mass: How One Thing Leads to Another by Philip Ball

4. Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper by Diablo Cody

5. A Charmed Life: Growing Up in Macbeth's Castle by Liza Campbell

Well, I'm your loser friend who doesn't read. BUT!! My weekly Bible study class is over for the summer and they gave us a two page list of books they suggest we dive into this summer. A friend and I are going to buy different books, read them and then swap. I hope I can read a couple books this summer.

I don't have any books to read next to the bed! I have a pile of books I have read but I can't tell you what is there. I have The Memory Keepers Daughter and a few other books I picked up at the thrift store out in the car. I'm feeling guilty now and I need to bring them in the house to read!

My next to the bed stack is pretty tall. If it were to fall over while I sleep, I could be injured in fact and no I'm not being overly dramatic. Two of yours are in my stack as well, Love the One You're With and Critical Mass. Hooray for great books and you know what tomorrow is???? I can hardly wait. Other great surprise news? Augusten Burroughs published a new book on Friday and I didn't even know it, so I'll have to add that to the stack too!

My stack is huge, the top five:

1. Jane Eyre
2. Austenland
3. Eat, Pray, Love
4. Water for Elephants
5. Friday Night Knitting Club

Of course, I have twice this many in my pile but these are the ones that are almost overdue!

I've currently got eight books waiting for me to read them. Of the eight, six are Nora Roberts but I'm anxiously awaiting Julia Quinn's new release...Can't Wait!!!
