Sharing the love

Ever wondered what I do with those advance reader books? Some of them stay on my shelves, fewer than you might imagine, actually. But most of them I pass along to friends.

And with that brief introduction, welcome to the world of free books, my friends. The first in a series of a series of a series of ::pop::* book giveaways.

First up: Secrets of a Shoe Addict by Beth Harbison. This is meant to be a sequel to Shoe Addicts Anonymous, but it's a stand-alone read. Truly, it has very little to do with the first book, plot-wise.

The novel follows three women -- Tiffany, Abbey, and Loreen -- each with her own need to make fast cash. They band together to form an unconventional business that ultimately helps each woman see the limitations she has placed upon herself. Publishers Weekly gives a more thorough review here near the middle of the page.

What to do? Leave a comment on this post -- anything from "Hey, pick me!" to mentioning, oh, how fabulous I am -- from now until midnight Sunday, 11 May. Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Monday, 12 May.

Spread the word! Or don't, so your odds for winning will be better. It's up to you.

Go forth and comment!

*Props to anyone who gets the reference. And maybe a special prize. If I can think of something.

First, you are absolutely wonderful! I talk about your wonderfulness often in fact. Second, I'm sorry, but I don't get the reference. 'splain it to me later? ;)

I am clueless about the reference, unless it's something like pop fiction, but I'd love to enter the contest!

Oh-Oh ME.ME.ME!!! Pick.Me!!

I would have entered to win sooner but I was trying to figure out the reference. I believe I know what it is but I can't place where it comes from.....Or maybe I'm just way off base and really don't have a clue what I'm talking about (that's prolly the more likely case. lol!)

Anyway....Hope I win!! I love to read!!

IS it a reference to a certain Gymgo vintage line? LOL

Pick me-I need a chick lit break from the 6 goobers.

PICK ME.. MEMEMEME! I DID make you laugh with the watching-shirtless-stud-mowing-grass-while-drinking-margaritas whole shenanigans.. AND I can spell shenanigans. Shouldn't that count for something!?

It was me that you gave the first one to!! I gave it to my friend before we moved. It was very funny and I really liked it. :-)

Go forth and prosper??
Reference to the command God gave both to Adam and Eve and to Noah and his family to “be fruitful and increase in number” (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 9:1).

I am betting this is not what you are referencing to but I had to try! LOL :-)

Well I've been trying to come up with the reference but I'm drawing a big fat blank. I hope it is something I've never heard of so I don't feel like an idiot. LOL.

As for free books, heck yeah! I have recently done my part to share books with friends and loaned out tons of books. There are only a couple that I care if I get back too which makes it even better. LOL

Hi, When I hear the word "pop", soda comes to mind, but also surprise, pop-up,etc. I am going with this guess: pop-up or spur of the moment, unexpected book giveaways. Please enter me in your wonderful book giveaway drawing. I appreciate it!

I don't know how many guesses we get on "pop", but my other idea is pop

VERY cool giveaway!! I would also love a little revisit to the chick lit genre that I loved so much in my life before the babies. ;)

How did I miss this?!

I would just like to say that you are fabulous. And your posts are fabulous. And I'm sure that your entire life is fabulous because how could it not be.

Is that enough brown nosing? Just let me know and I'll do more.

Oh, and pick me!
